About the artwork
This is a print of some ranunculus flowers I had in a vase on the dining table %u2013 I became fascinated by the way the daylight shone through the layers of petals, and created this woodblock print with the main purpose of recreating that effect. I was also experimenting with creating a 3-dimensional feel with bokashi on the flower stems where they overlap. This is a 4 block print on washi.
