About the artist
Home and belonging are not fixed points, but rather shifting feelings. These themes weave throughout this collection of prints. Each piece is an intersection between what is present and what is absent on the plate, both physcially and metaphorically. The hope is that form gives way to feeling. | While creating each piece, I focused on the idea that no one can truly belong everywhere. At some level, everyone has experienced both belonging and displacement. Each print becomes a vessel to figure out what belonging means, represented by moving horizons, crowds forming and dissolving, and reflections blurring into memory.
About the artwork
A solitary figure walks through a city guided by the light from a low hanging moon ahead. The light of the moon is reflected on the wet pavement and the figure moves ahead through the darkness effortlessly. The night welcomes her as if she%u2019s an old friend.
