About the artist
Home and belonging are not fixed points, but rather shifting feelings. These themes weave throughout this collection of prints. Each piece is an intersection between what is present and what is absent on the plate, both physcially and metaphorically. The hope is that form gives way to feeling. | While creating each piece, I focused on the idea that no one can truly belong everywhere. At some level, everyone has experienced both belonging and displacement. Each print becomes a vessel to figure out what belonging means, represented by moving horizons, crowds forming and dissolving, and reflections blurring into memory.
About the artwork
A sillhouette of a person standing among the outline of a city that used to be home almost as if they lingered too long in a place they were only meant to pass through showing the tension between presence and absence.
