About the artist
I am a multimedia artist who lives in London and thrives on exploring new techniques. In recent years I have been drawn to the printmaking proceses. Newly elected (2022) ARE as an associate member of Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. I love the tactile exploration of the printmaking techniques and the opportunity to experiment this gives me. I also work with paint on glass, producing two- and three-dimensional sculptures that are inspired by seventeenth century iconography. There is an historical sense to these art forms which sits well with my practice. Multiple plate etchings that have different depths of bite, aquatint and ink viscosity that build on complicated stacks of layered inks and embossing all married by pressure. This becomes the technique of making that combines the concept of the introspected self and the physical being. This idea is fundamental to my practice and is a constant in the way that I produces work and the way I reflect on the viewer, viewing the consequence of myself addressing my alter ego.
