About the artwork

Maria Cristina is a multidisciplinary artist based in Worcestershire, originally from Florence, where she studied art to undergraduate level. After moving to the UK, she graduated in Birmingham as an architect and worked as a conservation architect for several years in the Midlands. %u2018Trousseau%u2019 is part of a large current project based on place and aspects of the Italian diaspora, which explores the role of women%u2019s culture and tradition in transmigration.
