About the artwork
St Mary%u2019s Lighthouse on a cold winter's day. The linework remains loose, capturing the dynamic energy of the tide lapping the rocks as the sea moves in, detaching St Mary%u2019s Island from the mainland. Aquatint is used to create tonal variation and highlight reflections in the pools of water left behind.
