About the artist
A series of intimate intaglio prints of found paper boxes called Enclosures. Each small box is flattened, scored and printed so that the natural crumples and creases of the boxes interweave with intentional marks. The boxes echo a physical reality, our current limitations. The delicate scored lines circle and cross denoting our paths as occupants. Simultaneously they evoke an internal glimpse, with the marks and colours evoking our spinning thoughts and states of mind.
About the artwork
A piece about the peculiar vitality and affect of the Pembrokeshire Coastline where sea and rock meet. Embracing the language of folding, the texture of carborundum grit to speak to an essential meeting of differences at this edge of land.
