About the artist

Capturing quiet, fleeting moments sits at the heart of my practice. I enjoy translating these impressions into texture and contrast through printmaking and painting. I hope my work can invite viewers to pause for a moment, slow down, and rediscover the subtle beauty that often slips past unnoticed.

Rebecca Chu is an Edinburgh-based artist working across painting and printmaking. Her practice centres on capturing fleeting moments from nature and everyday life. Drawn to the tactile process of intaglio etching, she explores texture, contrast, and atmosphere through expressive mark-making. Her works invite viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with subtle, often overlooked beauty.
