About the artwork

Kathleen embodies the complex relationship between memory, loss, and the objects we cherish. While my siblings saw only a %u201Ccreepy mannequin,%u201D to me she represents a tangible connection to my late father, a vessel of memories that transcends the monetary value often tied to inheritance. This piece invites viewers to reflect on how ordinary items become sacred through the emotions and stories they carry, reminding us that in grief, it%u2019s often the small, seemingly insignificant things that hold the greatest power.
