About the artist

Jillian%u2019s current practice encompasses printmaking, paper cut, and mixed media collage, frequently taking inspiration from Nordic and Scottish landscape, history, and nature. These incorporate collaged elements comprised of texts from the Norse sagas, music manuscripts, postage stamps and old cartography. Her work, often featuring intricate detail, employs paper as both as medium and metaphor, reflecting the fragility and transience of the natural world.Recent exhibitions and events have featured multi disciplinary works incorporating electroacoustic composition and installation as well as more traditional 2D works on paper.

Jillian is a Scottish visual artist and soprano, currently based in Norfolk. She is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London.
