About the artwork

'Seeing Stone' depicts Men-an-Tol in Cornwall, an ancient site steeped in lore and legend. Stories mainly focus on the holed stone, and it is believed to bring some form of good luck if you pass through the stone, whether it be curing back pain or aiding fertility. Whenever I visit the site, to me the stone feels like some kind of portal, to the past or to another realm, which is what this print explores.
