Artist statement
Rooted in traditional linocut techniques and inspired by Britain%u2019s natural heritage, my work captures the spirit of the land and its wildlife through a contemporary folk lens.Every design is carved and printed by hand, embracing the textures and imperfections that make linoprint so distinctive. My collections reflect the rhythm of the seasons, the richness of rural landscapes, and the enduring character of British flora and fauna. I like to embrace an earthy colour palette, and take inspiration from my time in nature.
Biography
Megan Rogers started her time as an artist from a young age, drawing inspiration from her parents. Her love of painting continued through school all the way to finishing college with a distinction in a Foundation degree of Art and Design. She went on to complete a BSc in Psychology, hoping to combine art with therapeutic practice. In the last few years, she discovered lino printing as a way to reconnect to art without the pressure of perfecting a painting. She continues to improve, practice and experiment with the versatility of lino printing, finding joy and inspiration with every new print.
