Artist statement

Katalin%u2019s practice combines applied and artistic work, including linocut, monotype, and abstract photography as a process of visual research. She is interested in semiotics, symbolism, and how meaning is constructed through visual language. | Her work is defined by geometric composition, bold colour fields, and a focus on layered interpretation.

Biography

Katalin is a Budapest-based graphic designer and MA student at the Budapest Metropolitan University. | Her practice spans both applied and artistic fields, combining traditional and digital image-making.She works professionally in graphic design, with a strong focus on illustration and poster design. Her practice operates across commercial and artistic contexts, with an emphasis on visual communication and experimentation.Her work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions and cultural projects, including the Verzió Film Festival poster exhibition (2025), Danubia Orchestra visual projects (2025), the Kurtág 100 series (2026), and the TIPOZÓNA /6/ exhibition in Eger (2026).
